Starling murmurations are obviously more visibly impressive from a distance, without buildings and wires in the way and when you can see the incredible waves and patterns created…

But the sound and atmosphere being caught underneath one actually brought tears to my eyes.

Forever humbled and astonished by nature and advocating for every tree, creature and ocean until the day I die

📄 Majority-owner Equinor have now resubmitted their application to develop Rosebank. A 30-day public consultation period will be announced any day now, after which the government will decide whether to approve or deny the project.

💀 Rosebank is a climate disaster. It’s vast, it’s located in a marine protected area, and burning its oil and gas would create more emissions than the 700million people living in the world’s poorest countries produce in a year, combined.

💀 It will do nothing to lower our bills or help energy security. British taxpayers would pay millions towards the development of the project via tax subsidies, whilst Norwegian oil giant Equinor - a company making BILLIONS annually - would rake in all the profits.

I had lunch at Tendril on Friday and it was so damn good I had to do a little shout about it.

I don’t have the patience to take good pics cos I just wanna eat but we had a bunch of small plates to share (the only way to do it, in my opinion) and what an absolutely delicious range of flavours…I couldn’t even pick a favourite. 🤤 Also had some carrots (not pictured) with a miso glaze that actually tasted like I’d died and gone to heaven.

Was way too full for dessert but I accidentally asked to peek at the menu (just out of curiosity) and then I accidentally ordered one and it fell in my mouth, as desserts tend to do. No regret, banoffee pie was the most instant childhood nostalgia hit and how often do you have the chance to eat a beautiful vegan version?!

Lovely service too 💚 @tendril_kitchen you clearly know what to do with vegetables so I think you should become a (totally) vegan kitchen and you’d be utter perfection 😘

So it’s pretty alarming that instead of shifting to more sustainable food systems, governments and investors continue to throw money at industries that are literally threatening the food security of the future.

Last week we dropped THE MOST GIGANTIC of banners off Westminster Bridge, and it was a pretty glorious time ❤️🔥

Earlier this year, the Scottish Court ruled that the approval of Rosebank was unlawful, as it hadn’t taken into account the impact that burning the field’s oil and gas would have on the environment

Rosebanks’s majority owners, Equinor, now need to recalculate their environmental impact assessment and will then reapply for permission to develop this giant oil field

We need the Labour government to listen to the science and make the right decision - to #StopRosebank for good

💀 New oil fields are completely incompatible with a liveable future. Burning Rosebank’s 500 million barrels of oil and gas would create more CO2 emissions than the world’s 28 lowest-income countries *combined* create in an entire year

💷 Rosebank won’t lower energy bills - Equinor are a state-owned Norwegian energy giant. They’d take Rosebank’s oil, put it on the international market, and the UK would buy it back at international market prices.

😵‍💫 A bad deal for taxpayers. Equinor made £24 BILLION in profits in 2024. Yet due to very generous subsidies, UK taxpayers would cover most of the costs for Equinor to develop Rosebank. Actually laughable

👷 Rosebank won’t create jobs - The North Sea is in decline, and oil and gas jobs have halved in the last decade. Whereas green jobs are amongst the most rapidly growing worldwide! The government should be working with unions and workers towards a just transition that’s better for the environment and better for livelihoods.

👿 Rosebank is co-owned by Ithaca Energy, whose parent company - the Delek Group - are a massive Israeli fuel conglomerate blacklisted by the UN for operating in illegal settlements in Palestine

Such a privilege to read the Declaration of Animal Rights at @nardlondon 2025. Such a powerful event to come together in collective grief and remember the billions of animals killed at the hands of humans every single year.

Whilst I’m often overwhelmed by the scale of pain and suffering we needlessly inflict upon those who can’t defend themselves, I’m endlessly inspired by the incredible activists around me. Seeing the photos and footage of @nationalanimalrightsday events happening all around the world gives me hope that the future of compassion, kindness and freedom that we dream of IS possible, because this community is fierce and unrelenting, and we won’t give up.

We will continue fighting - every single day - until every cage, farm, tank & slaughterhouse is empty.

What a moment

Just over a year ago, the Conservative government approved the development of Rosebank.

There were angry, sad, frustrated tears, but then this incredible, unrelenting community came back harder.

Because F*CK irresponsible, planet-wrecking decisions by selfish people who only care about money.

Last week over 200 of us gathered in solidarity to mark the beginning of this monumental court case. The arguments are now done and Rosebank’s imminent future is in the hands of the Scottish Court.

Why is this case so important?

New oil and gas is straight-up incompatible with a liveable future. Anyone questioning that science needs to sit down and educate themselves. We’re already hurtling towards disaster without radically changing our existing practices - Rosebank’s 300 million barrels of new oil would be literal fuel on the fire.

The approval of Rosebank completely contradicts the UK’s climate pledges. The new Labour government knows this - and chose not to defend the decision in court. The Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in the Finch case earlier this year, centred on the fact that future emissions were not considered in the approval of oil drilling at Horse Hill in Surrey, bodes very well for us. A turnaround on Rosebank could be the nail in the coffin of ALL future UK oil and gas.

💰 Today, Norwegian oil giant @equinor, announced £29billion in profits for 2023.

🔥 Last year was the hottest year on record. Floods and wildfires destroyed homes and livelihoods across the globe.

🌹 Equinor are the majority-owners of the Rosebank oil field, a project for which, due to very generous tax breaks, UK taxpayers will cover 91% of the development costs.

🤪 That’s right. At a time when millions of households in the UK are in fuel poverty, choosing between eating and heating, our government are giving £3billion in tax breaks to a company who PROFITED £29 BILLION IN ONE YEAR. Absolute insanity.

The British and Norwegian governments are climate hypocrites, presenting as climate leaders whilst actually siding with oil and gas giants like Equinor. The development of Rosebank will further exacerbate the already devastating impacts of climate change, and will do nothing to lower energy bills in the UK. We need our government to start acting in the interests of the public and invest in the transition to cleaner, renewable energy that will lower bills and reduce the emissions that are destroying our planet.

When you move out of East London your local plant-based eating options drop pretty dramatically! Lucky I’ve found myself a new favourite place! @plantcafewoodbridge are 100% vegan, have the cutest interior and the loveliest service! This is a coronation chickpea pitta with salad, to-die-for coleslaw and (perfectly crispy) chips…it was DELICIOUS. So delicious. My mum & I ordered this to share as we weren’t super hungry and it was such a generous portion! Great coffee too! Unfortunately I was too full for cake so I’m just going to have to go back 🤷🏼‍♀️☺️☕️🌱💖

I had a weird desire for a ‘meaty’ curry. Odd, since I seem to be all about the veggies these days, however it’s January and it’s lockdown so I firmly believe we should all be snacking on whatever takes our fancy! (𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 😌) ⁣

I opted for something I hadn’t tried before and had @nomeatcompany ‘No Chick’ pieces and they were great. Good amount of texture but not too chewy in a way that I find mega-🤢! Threw these in an adapted version of @nora_cooks_vegan_ Butter Chicken recipe⁣ and wow - it was farrr too tasty for how quick and easy it was!⁣ 😍

Made a Saag Aloo for good measure and this was not quick but that’s ok because it’s definitely the best one I’ve ever made! Yay. Enjoyed with rice and fresh homemade chapatis (@mrpreecedrums ❤️)
